Mindfulness and Business

Back in the US after a whirlwind few weeks of travel in Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania.  Came across this article in the Guardian on businesses seeking the wisdom of Zen Buddhism to infer organizational development strategy.  Most writing I’ve encountered on this topic tends to be rudimentary, missing the point.  Hoping to dissect this fully in the coming weeks – a major personal interest I have cultivated in my Open Masters program is merging engaged Buddhism and socially-focused business development.

Along those lines, very much looking forward to joining Thich Nhat Hanh’s retreat in Mississippi later this month.  There are still a few camping spots open if anyone would like to share a site.  I am hoping Thay’s dharma talks will shed new light on my studies.

Finally, I was able to finish Bill Plotkin’s new book “Wild Mind: A Field Guide to the Human Psyche” – will be posting a full write-up in the coming 10 days.
