The Importance of Recruitment

You can have the best systems in the world, but they don’t mean anything without the right people in place to leverage and constantly redevelop them.

If your key managers don’t embody your organization’s core values, that’s where you need to start.  Core values flow through your recruitment processes and, equally as important, your performance management and appraisal systems.

Focusing on just one area won’t “fix” things.  And, it almost goes without saying, people are a lot more important than the core values the paper is written on.  Make sure it is a participatory process with as many key staff involved as possible, so there is immediate buy-in and momentum at all levels of your organization.
